Description: From privacy issues to conflicts of interest and setting boundaries, this course explores the range of ethical issues and dilemmas that case managers confront every day. In six modules, A through F, the course details current ethical standards of practice and then explores issues such as the increasingly common use of electronic health record systems (EHR) and telecare. Next, it looks at how organizational culture can influence a CM’s ethics, and how ethical issues can differ in hospital and outpatient settings.

Business goals: After completing this module, case managers will be able to:
